Indexing chuck
...for machining workpieces with intersecting axes
Röhm indexing chucks have an indexing axis aligned at 90 degrees to their axis of rotation and can be used for machining workpieces with intersecting axes in one chucking operation (classic example: yoke journal assemblies).
Execution variants:
HSF:
- H = Hydraulically operated
- SF = Indexig chuck
- With one movable jaw
HSFK:
- H = Hydraulically operated
- SF = Indexing chuck
- K = With correction piston
KSFZ:
- K = Power-operated
- SF = Indexing chuck
- Z = Central chucking
HSFZ:
- H = Hydraulically operated
- SF = Indexing chuck
- Z = Central chucking
- With indexable internal body
KTF:
- K = Power-operated
- TF = Indexing chuck
- With eccentric chucking
HTF:
- H = Hydraulically operated
- TF = Indexing chuck
- With eccentric chucking
Customers Advantages:
- Keep the workpiece securely gripped in the jaws even in the event of a complete pressure loss
- Chuck can also be indexed with the spindle turning at a reduced speed
- It is possible to have a passageway for coolant or compressed air
