CTRE
…with spring support
All grippers of this series are equipped with inserts for two magnetic field sensors, and the main components are made of hardened and tempered steel.
Customers Advantages:
- A double-acting piston with a ring magnet for magnetic field detection is connected to a piston rod whose fork-shaped end is fastened to two guiding pins.
- The rotation of the jaws is synchronized with the guiding pin/jaw module.
- When the guiding pins slide in their slot, they convert the vertical movement of the piston into an opposite, synchronous rotary movement of the two jaws.
- Between the opened 90° position and the 0° gripper position, each jaw has an effective rotary stroke angle of 90°, plus an overstroke for gripping before reaching the final gripper position of approx. 1.5°. The jaws must be designed for a gripping position of 0° (parallel jaws).
- The safety spring ensures that the gripper keeps holding a part also if there is a failure in the air supply. It also allows you to use the gripper in the single-acting mode.
